Last race in the Kent Fitness League Cross Country series at Blean Wood on Sunday. After a deep morning frost parts of the route were still frozen before the start of the race but the already muddy course was quickly churned up by the 336 runners who also had to negotiate (or attempt to avoid) a series of interesting pools of varying depth and shades of dark along the now notorious “Radfall” section – preceded by a compulsory mini swamp dip at the exit point from the starting field and as a bonus another opportunity to sample its delights on the return into the field at the finish. A cracking mudfest throughout and a classic cross country experience .Roll on the 2013- 14 XC season !
