Back to Tarmac racing (but see end of  post!). A dry but overcast  Sunday morning  for the Ashford and District 10K. A scenic and traffic free country lane route but the grey skies and the chilly wind did not do it justice on the day. Shame that the winter rains had changed what is an ideal 80 metre stretch on the grass finishing straight  in the Sandyhurst Recreation field into a mini  mud plain  – so for runners wearing standard road shoes a sprint finish was touch and go. Great organisation and terrific support from marshals along the way- a definite one for next year`s calendar
