Saturday and back to a damp and cold East Kent Coast for the Whitstable Park Run. Dismal running conditions blown away by the great cameraderie amongst the runners and the enthusiasm of the event organisers. Usual route using Tankerton slopes not possible because of the wet conditions so the organisers reverted to what is affectionately known as the “Lollipop Route” with an out and back along the promenade incorporating as a special treat on the day a 400 metre stretch of flooded and muddy marshland worthy of the best that the cross country season has thrown at us this year ! Great fun with the icing on the cake being the 45% uphill sprint finish !
