Ran the Wingham 10K on Sunday. Just when I thought it was going to be safe to race without my cap on and breathe in all that anticipated lovely fresh early autumn air along comes another weekend of blistering heat. This made for fairly tough going and slower finishing times over a course which has a few challenging “undulations”
Still, a lovely traffic free and scenic route, starting and finishing at the village green with great support from the locals and very well organised by Wingham Trotters.
A great family event also with an optional 5.2K suitable for juniors and a series of age graded childrens races on the village green after the main events.
