Sunday and the first of the Kent Fitness League races at glorious Knole Park in Sevenoaks – glorious yes   for the start and  duration of the race but  an hour earlier it might  have been difficult to spot the glory through the torrential downpours. Felt sorry for the poor Chilham duathletes we sighted en route plugging bravely  through the rain storms and floods of the A28.  First  training of any kind  (  after two weeks of a severe cold virus )  running around towards the back of the field with a fellow club runner making her somewhat hesitant cross country debut. As it turned out she enjoyed the experience and hopefully we will have another XC addict.  Cross Country just can`t be beaten when it comes to all round training benefits , camaraderie and good old fashioned fun.
