Sunday to a rather damp and cold West Kent for marshaling duties in the Headcorn Half Marathon race.Big field of nearly 500 running through the beautiful Weald of Kent. Great atmosphere and spirit amongst the runners who were very grateful to us marshals standing in the cold. Half expected a “dig in marshal !” at some stage. Thankfully the rain held off for the duration of the race although the runners could not avoid having to run through the occasional ankle deep puddle in the road. Lots of different club colours and club names but strangely didn`t notice a single charity style costume?

Great experience despite the weather conditions.
